Setup guide
Up and running
in about 5 minutes.
Follow these steps on the computer that's connected to your printer.
Before you start
- A computer with Windows 10 or 11 that stays on during shop hours.
- Your printer installed in Windows. Check under Settings › Bluetooth & devices › Printers & scanners.
- An internet connection. Normal shop broadband or a phone hotspot is fine.
Create your account and choose your address
Sign up with your name, email and mobile number. Then choose your shop's address, for example gopal-xerox.anxe.in. Your free trial starts now.
Your account page shows a pairing code. Keep it open for step 3.
Download and open anxe
On the computer connected to your printer, download anxe-agent.exe and double-click it. There's nothing else to install.
Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. That's normal for new software: click More info, then Run anyway.
Enter your pairing code
Type the 8-character code from your account, like MDHY-U943. This links the computer to your shop. Each code works once, for 24 hours; you can get a new one any time.
Pick your printers and test them
Choose your black & white printer, and your colour printer if you have one. If you have one printer that does both, choose it for both.
Click Test print next to each one. A test page with your shop name should come out. If it doesn't, the message tells you why.
No printer yet? You can still start, and add it later from the Setup tab.
Click Start
The status at the top turns green: ● Online, with your shop address, and your account page shows the computer as Connected. anxe now starts by itself whenever the computer is switched on, and lives in the tray near the clock.
Put up your QR code
Open your shop address on your own phone to check it works, then print your QR code and stick it on the counter.
Taking orders
- A new order appears in bold on the Orders tab, with a pop-up and a sound.
- Select it and click Print selected order.
- Watch the status change to Printed. Hand over the prints when the customer shows their order number.
When the printer has a problem
A red bar appears at the top of the anxe window, the tray icon turns red, and you hear an alert. It tells you what's wrong and how to fix it.
- Out of paper: load paper. Printing carries on by itself.
- Paper jam: clear the paper. If printing doesn't restart, press the printer's OK or Resume button.
- Offline: check the printer is switched on and its cable or Wi-Fi is connected.
- Check printout: after a problem, look at the pages and click Print again if any are missing. anxe never reprints by itself, so you won't get duplicates.
Where are the files?
On the shop computer, one folder per day and per order. Click Open orders folder in anxe, or press Win+R and paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\anxe\orders.
